1. Overview

Persona Studio: AI Headshot ("Persona Studio," "we," "us," or "our") helps users turn selfies into creative professional profile portraits. Your privacy matters to us, especially because the app may process photos that include your face.

This policy describes what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is used, and what choices you have. By using Persona Studio, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on how you use the app, we may collect or process the following types of information:

• Photos you choose to upload: selfies or portrait photos selected by you for AI portrait generation.
• Generated portraits: AI-generated images created from your selected photo and chosen style.
• App usage information: such as selected styles, generation events, feature usage, and general interaction data.
• Device and diagnostic information: such as device model, iOS version, app version, crash logs, performance data, and approximate region.
• Purchase information: records that indicate whether you purchased portrait credits through Apple in-app purchases. We do not receive your full payment card details.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal information such as government ID numbers, financial account numbers, precise location, health information, or contact lists.

3. Photos and AI-Generated Portraits

When you generate a portrait, your selected photo is uploaded for AI image processing. The uploaded photo may include your face and visible facial features. We collect and process this photo only when you choose a photo and request AI portrait generation.

To provide the AI portrait generation feature, your uploaded photo and selected style information may be sent to third-party AI service providers, including Volcengine and Alibaba Cloud (Aliyun), for image processing. These providers process the data only to generate the portrait requested by you. According to our service configuration and data processing requirements, these third-party AI providers do not retain uploaded photos and do not use them for model training.

We use your uploaded photos and generated portraits only to provide the AI portrait generation feature, preserve your general appearance in the generated result, display your results, save portraits in the app, help you compare results, troubleshoot issues, prevent abuse, and improve app reliability.

Generated portraits may be saved locally in the app on your device so you can compare, delete, or export them. If you save a portrait to your Photos library, share it, or back it up through Apple services, that storage and sharing is controlled by your device settings and Apple's privacy practices.

4. Face Data and Likeness

Because the app creates profile portraits from selfies, our AI processing may analyze visible facial features in your photo to preserve your likeness and apply the selected style. We do not use face data to identify you, authenticate you, track you across apps or websites, or determine sensitive personal characteristics.

We do not create or store a face template for facial recognition. Any image analysis is used only for the portrait generation experience.

5. How We Use Information

We use information for the following purposes:

• To generate AI portraits from the photos you select.
• To show, save, compare, and export generated portraits.
• To manage portrait credits and in-app purchase status.
• To improve app stability, performance, and user experience.
• To detect, prevent, and respond to fraud, abuse, technical issues, and security incidents.
• To provide support and respond to user requests.
• To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

6. Third-Party Service Providers

We may use third-party service providers to operate and improve the app. These providers may process information only as needed to provide services to us.

• Volcengine: used as a third-party AI image processing provider to process uploaded photos and selected style information and generate AI portraits.
• Alibaba Cloud (Aliyun): used as a third-party AI image processing provider to process uploaded photos and selected style information and generate AI portraits.
• Google Analytics for Firebase: used to understand app usage and improve product experience.
• Firebase Crashlytics: used to collect crash reports and diagnostic information so we can fix bugs.
• Apple App Store and StoreKit: used to process in-app purchases and restore purchases.

These third-party services may collect device information, diagnostics, usage data, purchase status, or image-processing data depending on the feature being used. Their handling of data is governed by their own privacy policies and service terms.

We require service providers that process user data on our behalf to provide the same or equal level of protection for user data as described in this Privacy Policy and as required by applicable App Store Review Guidelines.

7. Data Retention and Deletion

Portraits saved in the app remain on your device until you delete them, uninstall the app, or remove app data from your device.

Photos and generated portraits used for cloud-based AI processing are stored only for as long as reasonably necessary to complete generation, deliver the result, troubleshoot errors, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations. Uploaded photos and temporary processing files are automatically deleted within 24 hours after generation is completed, unless a longer retention period is required for security, support, or legal reasons.

You can delete generated portraits from within the app when the delete option is available. You may also contact us to request deletion of information associated with your use of the app.

8. In-App Purchases and Credits

Persona Studio may offer paid portrait credits through Apple in-app purchases. Payments are processed by Apple. We do not collect or store your full credit card number, bank account information, or other payment card details.

We may receive limited transaction information from Apple, such as product identifier, purchase status, transaction identifier, and receipt data, to unlock credits, prevent fraud, provide support, and restore purchases.

9. Sharing of Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your photos or generated portraits with advertisers or data brokers.

We may share uploaded photos and selected style information with Volcengine and Alibaba Cloud (Aliyun) only for the purpose of generating the AI portrait requested by you. We may also share information with other service providers described in this policy, when required by law, to protect rights and safety, to investigate fraud or abuse, or as part of a business transfer such as a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

10. Advertising and Tracking

Persona Studio does not use your uploaded photos or generated portraits for advertising. If we use analytics, we use it to understand app performance and product usage, not to sell your personal information.

If the app introduces advertising or cross-app tracking in the future, we will update this policy and request permission where required by applicable law and Apple policies.

11. Your Privacy Choices

You may have rights depending on where you live, including the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of certain personal information. You may also have the right to object to or restrict certain processing.

You can control app permissions, including photo access, through your iOS Settings app. If you revoke photo access, some features may not work until access is granted again.

12. Children's Privacy

Persona Studio is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us and we will take appropriate steps to delete it.

13. Security

We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

14. International Processing

Our app and service providers may process information in countries other than where you live. These countries may have different data protection laws. When we transfer or process information, we take reasonable steps to protect it as described in this policy.

15. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and may provide additional notice in the app or through other appropriate methods.
